Pottstown Little League
Local Rules – T-Ball
T-Ball (Ages 5-6)
- Games shall consist of not more than six (6) innings. Every effort should be made to keep the game to a maximum of 1 ½ hours.
- Each team will have up to, but not exceeding, 6 players bat per inning.
- Fielders will be placed in the standard 9 positions. Any remaining players may be placed in the outfield. Players should be rotated among the different positions throughout the game.
- Every effort should be made to make outs while playing in the field. Any batter/runner who gets out while running the bases should immediately return to the dugout. All 6 batters should bat in an inning, though, regardless of whether the fielding team makes 3 outs or not.
- The managers/coaches in the field and the base coaches should work together to determine whether an out has been made at a base. They should always remember that there is no score-keeping in t-ball, so there is never a reason to argue about a call.
- Managers/coaches should use their discretion in awarding the appropriate number of bases to a batter based upon the merit of the hit (i.e., a well hit ball to the outfield fence might merit a double).
- No score is kept at this level.
